It’s okay to send your child to therapy.
It’s not a taboo! There is nothing ‘wrong’ with your child. Often certain behaviours are a symptom of something painful going on for them beneath the surface. Offering your child time and space just for them, to navigate what they’re going through safely, without judgment, makes you an excellent parent! Your actions are saying to them, you’re important, I value you and I want you to feel empowered and confident to be you.

Children
I love working with children.
I bring a playful, imaginative approach shaped by my background in performing arts. I know that children often communicate in ways beyond words, so I use creative tools like sand play, painting, and small-world toys to help them explore and express their inner world.
For some, therapy is full of movement and storytelling; for others, it happens quietly, in stillness, in silence, in simply being together. I never rush or push a child to talk before they’re ready. My focus is always on creating a space where they feel safe, supported, and truly seen, no matter how they choose to show up.
Adolescents
Working with tweens and teens is a part of my practice I’m especially passionate about.
I understand that this can be a tricky age to open up, especially in traditional therapy settings. That’s why I offer walk-and-talk sessions in the park, which can feel more natural and less intense, allowing young people to express themselves at their own pace and without the pressure of eye contact or sitting in a room.
I never push or rush the process. My primary focus is always on building a solid, trusting relationship first. When a young person feels truly safe and comfortable with me, that’s when the real work begins, and we can explore their feelings together.

How Sessions Work for Young Minds
Supporting a child’s emotional wellbeing is a journey that begins with understanding, trust, and collaboration. My approach is designed to gently guide families through that process, ensuring each child feels safe, seen, and supported.
Initial Parent Assessment (60–90 minutes)
Before meeting your child, I begin with a comprehensive parent consultation.
This session allows us to explore:
• Your child’s emotional and behavioural challenges
• Developmental history and family dynamics
• School context and any previous support or diagnoses
• Your hopes and goals for therapy
This space is confidential and judgment-free, giving you the opportunity to speak openly and help me build a full picture of your child’s world.
Initial Parent Assessment (60-90 mins) – £120
Child Session
Once I’ve met with you, I invite your child for their own session. This is a gentle, engaging experience tailored to their age and personality. Through play, drawing, storytelling, and/or conversation I begin to:
• Build rapport and emotional safety
• Observe how your child expresses and regulates emotions
• Identify strengths, stressors, and coping patterns
Confidentiality is a key part of building trust with your child. What they share with me in sessions stays private – unless I believe they are at risk of harm, in which case I will always act in their best interest and involve you appropriately. I explain this to children in a way they can understand, so they feel safe and respected.
Child Session (50 mins)– £110
Ongoing Parent Consultations (Every 4–6 Weeks)
Therapy works best when parents are part of the process. Every 4–6 weeks, I offer a dedicated parent check-in to:
• Share insights and progress from sessions
• Discuss any changes at home or school
• Offer guidance on how to support your child between sessions
• Adjust therapeutic goals as needed
These consultations are collaborative and empowering, designed to help you feel confident and informed as your child grows emotionally. While I won’t share what your child says, I will always keep you updated on themes, progress, and any concerns that arise.
Ongoing Parent Sessions – £90 per 50 minutes
Booking
Therapy is no quick fix. It takes time and it can’t be rushed. I recommend a minimum of 10 sessions, as between 5-10 is how long it takes for most individuals to drop their guard and feel ready to explore the roots to their issues. Particularly for children and adolescents, time is key in building a solid and trusting relationship.
Sessions can be booked on a week by week basis, however I do recommend committing to at least 10. If you are comfortable making that level of commitment, I offer a 10% discount on a block booking of 10 sessions.
I offer a free 20 minute initial consultation on Zoom to see if we’re a good fit for one another before committing.
